English: After-work bike tour: nature and infrastructure

Guided bike tour with a visit to the Ökowerk Nature Conservation Centre

Hop on your bike after work and experience Berlin’s industrial heritage: on the ‘Nature and Infrastructure’ after-work cycle tour, you’ll discover just how much vital infrastructure lies within the Grunewald and along the River Havel. A highlight of the 13-kilometre route is the view from Drachenberg of the US listening post and the Berlin skyline.

At the guided tour of Berlin’s oldest surviving waterworks, you’ll gain exclusive insights into the historic steam engine and the purified water tank. This industrial monument is now home to the Ökowerk Nature Conservation Centre.

The guided bike tour is a section of our 20 km “Nature and Infrastructure” bike route. The path runs mainly along unpaved paths beside the River Havel and also climbs up to Drachenberg.
