No Souvenirs – La Passeggiata im Osten

VergangenEnglish: After-work bike tour: nature and infrastructure
Guided bike tour with a visit to the Ökowerk Nature Conservation Centre
Hop on your bike after work and experience Berlin’s industrial heritage: on the ‘Nature and Infrastructure’ after-work cycle tour, you’ll discover just how much vital infrastructure lies within the Grunewald and along the River Havel. A highlight of the 13-kilometre route is the view from Drachenberg of the US listening post and the Berlin skyline.
At the guided tour of Berlin’s oldest surviving waterworks, you’ll gain exclusive insights into the historic steam engine and the purified water tank. This industrial monument is now home to the Ökowerk Nature Conservation Centre.
The guided bike tour is a section of our 20 km “Nature and Infrastructure” bike route. The path runs mainly along unpaved paths beside the River Havel and also climbs up to Drachenberg.

VergangenEnglish: Sculpture in alabaster
A playful introduction to sculptural work
At the former Lichtenberg Ost railway depot, Deutsche Bahn once repaired massive steam locomotives. Today, the site is home to artists who work and create in the B.L.O-Ateliers.
The alabaster workshop is open to anyone interested in exploring natural stone as a material and trying their hand at figurative art. Alabaster is a natural stone from Southern Europe. Using special rasps and files, you’ll transform a block of raw material into a unique work of art. You’ll learn specific techniques and create your own sculpture.
The workshop takes place outdoors under a sculptor’s shelter. No prior experience is required.

English: silent.beats at Natur Park Südgelände
60 minutes of great music between the train tracks and nature
silent.beats reimagines clubbing: a 60-minute mobile silent disco with a live DJ and wireless headphones. Together, you’ll dance through Natur Park Südgelände—amidst industrial architecture, nature, and unique lighting effects.
Visually striking locations become the dance floor. No crowds, no club stress—just electronic music, movement, and atmosphere. A special experience for everyone who loves good music and wants to enjoy it against an extraordinary industrial heritage backdrop.
Today, Natur Park Südgelände is a place of nature and relaxation. Around 1900, however, the area was dominated by trains and tracks. At the silent disco, you’ll encounter traces of the former marshalling yard.

English: From cigarette factory to the home of industriell transformation
A tour behind closed doors
A walk through halls that shaped industrial history for decades as a cigarette factory. Unrenovated. Raw. Authentic. And right next door: transformation. New workspaces, new ideas, new purposes.
From a former cigarette factory to the home of industrial transformation: A tour bridging past and future. And a glimpse behind doors that are usually closed.
The former Philip Morris factory, which spans 30 buildings, has been undergoing development since 2022 to become a innovation campus for startups, production, and research.

VergangenEnglish: Wild herbs on the grounds of the Malzfabrik
Wild Herb Tour with "Ackerpause"
On the wild herb tour, experience an exciting journey through time, exploring industrial heritage, nature and history. The tour begins with a short guided tour of the historic malt house at the Schultheiss Brewery.
Afterwards, the focus turns to nature: which herbs grow on the grounds of the malt factory today? The guide will share tips and tricks for finding and gathering wild herbs. How does mullein differ from evening primrose? What do stinging nettles and ribwort plantain taste like?
The tour takes you through the demonstration field and offers insights into the educational work of Acker e.V. You’ll also receive practical tips on organic vegetable gardening in the city. The tour ends in the Ackerpause kitchen: here you’ll sample the wild herbs, served as wild herb pesto on bread and as herbal lemonade.
